Burger Sauce
An easy mixture for smearing onto burgers and other big flavored sandwiches. This keeps for a few days once made, and is easy to tweak.
INGREDIENTS:
¾ cup mayonnaise
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup Dijon style or a sweet-hot mustard
4-6 splashes Worcestershire sauce
1/8th teaspoon garlic powder or a little fresh garlic grated on a ginger grater or Micro-plane
Salt and pepper as needed
-Options-
For cold or hot beef sandwiches, try 1-2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
For burgers, fried fish, or similar sandwiches, try adding 1-2 tablespoons pickle of hamburger relish
1-2 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce
For fried shrimp. Add 1-3 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
METHOD:
Add everything to a non-reactive bowl and whisk well to combine. Sauce is best if it has at least 15 minutes before use so flavors can marry.
Yield: Around 1¼ cups
