Caramel Frosting
This frosting is used for the Apple Cake Muffins, or if you decide to turn the muffins back into a cake. The muffins/cake is not that sweet. The frosting definitely is!
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup butter ½ teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons cream 1 cup brown sugar 3½ cups sifted powdered sugar
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and heat, stirring all the while, until bubbly.
Let cool a little before using.
Yield: Enough for 12 muffins or a 9×13 cake
