Quick Farm Note
Steve and the crew are planting next year’s strawberries this week. Steve may write more about that process in the next newsletter, but right now he’s at a grower’s forum on Pajaro Valley water issues put on by EcoFarm and the Community Alliance with Family Farmers. The cover crops are coming along nicely in various parts of the farm that are resting through the winter, and we’re busy planning our winter tasks of maintenance, planting schedules, seed orders, website work, etc. We’ll keep this short today. We will be sending out newsletters in the winter only on the weeks of deliveries–hopefully this will help you remember to pick up on those weeks. (If you are not signed up for the winter CSA, you will still get these newsletters as they go to our whole e-mail list.) Chef Andrew has some good recipes for you to try (those Thanksgiving Carrots sound like a kid pleaser!).Reminder: Winter CSA Deliveries are Every Other Week. Next delivery will be December 14th and 15th.
Note that if you still want to sign up for the winter CSA you need to call or e-mail us right away. Thanks!
